Enologica Montefalco: we’re here

Montefalco, a key town in Umbria renowned for its wine production, will shine the spotlight on a new edition of “Enologica Montefalco – Abbinamenti” from September 20th to 22nd, 2024. Known as the “balcony of Umbria” since 1568 for its breathtaking views, this town becomes a true magnet of interest for wine enthusiasts and more for three days. The word “Abbinamenti” (Pairings) in the event’s title opens up enticing possibilities related to music, art, and food. For all these reasons, Around Wine is proud to be the Media Partner of the event, with a stand where we look forward to meeting all our friends who come to visit us. It may sound like a cliché, but if it’s true, it works perfectly: the heart of Italy, Umbria, is wonderfully green. This natural setting enhances the organization of large-scale events with wide participation. In this case, it’s a three-day event organized by the Consorzio Tutela Vini di Montefalco, in collaboration with La Strada del Sagrantino, and under the auspices of the Municipality of Montefalco and the Region of Umbria. An event for everyone: tourists, enthusiasts, and wine lovers, with tastings, workshops, cellar activities, and sunset experiences. Families are also at the heart of the event with the “Children’s Village.” It’s a great celebration to discover wineries and their best productions, as told by the experts from the wineries themselves.

Grape@Riedel 2024 Collection: a modern concept for an ancient company

The renowned glassware production of Riedel is enriched by a new wine collection that continues a tradition and an idea of a successful dynastic company. Since 1756, the Central European company has always kept up with the times. Riedel Crystal, the world leader in the production of wine glasses, spirits, and other related products, launches a new collection of three different glasses in 2024. More than just different sizes, it maintains continuity with the company's belief system, which since 1958 has advocated for specific glasses for tasting each grape variety. Sixty-six years of research and variations on this concept by a family, the Riedels, with over two hundred and fifty years of history. Therefore, three glasses strongly characterized by the type of wine to be tasted. The tallest of the three is intended for Cabernet and Merlot. Of the same shape but slightly smaller is the one called "White" for white wines and champagne. The third, "Pinot", is for red wines, like Nebbiolo. The three sizes ensure the right amount of wine, spirits, or beverage to drink. In the promotional photos, Riedel uses three different attractive models that convey the sense of difference while belonging to the same style.
