A sustainable paper bottle, two friends who found a startup to curate international wines and adopt it, winning a design award for their first selection.
Coming from a partnership between England and Spain, it’s an incredibly original creation born from the fusion of wine enjoyment, design, sustainability, and… Friendship. We’re talking about the Frugal Bottle, the world’s first and only commercially available paper bottle for wines and spirits, made from 94% recycled cardboard. It’s five times lighter than a glass bottle and has a carbon footprint 84% lower. It can be branded 360 degrees to maximize visibility on shelves or displays.
The Frugalpac, an English company specializing in sustainable packaging, is the creator, declaring a global mission to decarbonize the food and beverage industry. Winning an international design award for its use is the Anglo-Spanish startup Savvy Pair, founded and run by Richard and Domingo, two close friends passionate about travel, adventures, vintage cars, 80s music, and, of course, wine.
